Deb leverages her unique background in leading large teams in field operations, revenue cycle operations and IT to assess, develop and execute on key tactical and strategic initiatives that build the infrastructure required to meet financial, compliance and organizational goals. Passionate about creating strong and agile cultures, Deb develops leaders and teams who truly care about creating a positive patient experience by inclusively engaging head, heart and hands.
Expertise
Deb’s expertise in developing a holistic approach to revenue cycle management is derived from 25 years of senior and executive level leadership roles in the healthcare industry. This is illustrated by her career path with DaVita Healthcare Partners where she served as Vice President of Revenue Operations for DaVita’s $12B Dialysis Division. She successfully partnered with business partners to upgrade leadership, consolidate cash and credits functions and decrease Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) by 21 days, improving cash flow by $126M annually.
Seeking to deepen her understanding of the renal business, Deb transitioned from a corporate support role to Division Vice President of Operations where she led operations for 35 clinics with 900 employees and $160M in annual revenue. Her most recent position as Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations with DaVita Rx delivered on creating a comprehensive three year strategic road-map for revenue cycle operations which provided the organizational infrastructure required to support a rapidly growing business.
Operations Skill Set
Deb’s journey in expanding her operations skill set began as the manager for a small Infusion operation in upstate New York. This is where she discovered her passion for providing exceptional healthcare services that positively impacted the quality of life for patients, caregivers and friends. Her direct contact with patients and their families developed a keen understanding of how effectively navigating the insurance cycle can change their lives leading to a long and successful career in revenue cycle management. While with Apria healthcare, after leading large teams in revenue cycle, Deb ventured to co-lead a $200M ERP implementation project with primary responsibility for developing business value and realization strategies, stakeholder management and change management initiatives.
Honors
Among other honors, Deb is proud to have received a DaVita Core Value Award for Integrity and a Chairman’s Award from Apria Healthcare. She served as a Board Member for the Washington Chapter of the American Diabetes Association and for Home Choice Partners a full a service infusion provider in the Southeast. Deb has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the State University of New York – Oswego.
